Arizona's heat may generate thirst on an unending basis, but the battle against the globe-circling, deadly Covid-19 pandemic generated enough restrictions to cause a noticeable drop in the state's 2020 consumption of craft beer.
According to The Brewers Association, the 25 largest craft brewers in Arizona combined to brew 158,132 barrels of beer in 2019. At the end of 2020, the top 25 brewers had combined to produce 137,165 barrels — a drop of 13%. A barrel is equal to 31 gallons.
